Yahoo! Calendar launched, it’s good but not the best
October 8, 2008
It was time Yahoo! tried to keep up with competition from let’s say, Google. I say try because, as we speak, Yahoo! still remains the same old, lazy “old man” with few real attempts aimed at the competition. Anyway, Yahoo! Calendar comes as an unofficial response to Google Calendar, which I personally love. Now, how will Yahoo! Calendar steal me away from Google Calendar, well, it won’t. Read more

Sony PlayStation 3: No price cut!
July 13, 2008
If you were hoping for an easy price on PS3, you can forget about it because Sony has no intentions to cut down the price: “This year, our strategy is not to sell more quantity for PS3 but to concentrate on profitability. Our plan is not to reduce the price”(financial officer Nobuyuki Oneda).
This announcement could be related to the fact that indeed Microsoft plans to cut down the price on its Xbox 360 game console in an effort to boost sales in the face of stronger competition from rival Sony; (Microsoft will drop the price of the Xbox 360 to US$299 this weekend).Oneda also said that he expects Sony’s PS3 operations as well as the broader game segment to be profitable for the current year ending March 2009.

It seems that Yahoo tries to pull something after the famous Google Update that happened recently and many webmasters are seeing increases or decreases in the Yahoo SERPs. I wonder what they are trying to achieve with blitz update, but I have no doubt that somehow, this has something to do with the Google PR update. Read more
