Internet Explorer 8 release candidate out now

After six months of beta, Internet Explorer 8 release candidate is now available.
I can’t say if this is a happy moment because I’m kinda used to my Chrome and Mozilla browsers. But let’s see what Microsoft did with IE 8 this time. The ‘compatibility mode’ is now automatic - switching whenever the IE8 engine can’t render a page properly, rather than having to be triggered on demand. Read more
You can still download Windows 7 Beta till February 10th

Yep, hurry up, because if you haven’t downloaded the public beta of Windows 7, you’ll need to do so before the February 10th.
For those with slower connections, if you start the download by the 10th you need to finish it until the 12th. If you don’t , there’s no need to panic because Microsoft will continue to make product keys available for the beta even after the 12th.
All you need to do is locate the.ISO file elsewhere.

Halo Wars will be released on February 28

This will be a short one : Microsoft just made some people happy.
They just announced that the new Halo Wars (yes RTS and not a shooter) will be released on February 28 and also that the first playble demo will be available on Xbox Live on February 5.

It seems that Microsoft for some unknown reasons is in a bit of a hurry and decided to release the first public trial,or beta, version of Windows 7.
The minimum requirements for running Windows 7 are a PC with a 1 Ghz processor, 1GB of RAM, 16 GB of disk space, 128MB of video memory and support for DX9 graphics. Read more

Yes, Microsoft just released an update to fix the current IE security flaw. The vulnerability was discovered almost 8 days ago and created a huge buzz within the community. Windows Vista SP2 set for April

According to TechARP.com, Windows Vista service pack 2 will be released somewhere around April 2009, bringing the usual storm of patches and fixes.

Because of the new 1.5 terabytes hardrive, Seagate thought it would be a good idea to release a new clip and I gotta tell you it is really addictive.

Fallout 3 sold 4.7 million copies in the first week

Last week Bethesda launched Fallout 3, and the publisher took a victory lap by announcing some of the early statistics for the game. Bethesda stated that in only just a week it shipped roughly 4.7 million copies of Fallout 3 and sales surpassed the $300 million mark.

Microsoft has recently released an early preview copy of its new operating system, Windows 7.
And because Windows Vista took more than five years to develop, Microsoft will most likely deliver Windows 7 in the next couple of years.
Microsoft’s VP, Steven Sinofsky, described Windows 7 as an “exciting new version” and claimed it would deliver a more personalized experience. Read more
