You can call me a spy, a tech freak or whatever you want, but there is nothing more satisfying than having your tech with you in mini-sizes. The solar plane: endless flying and utility

zephyr_solar_plane-290x173QinetiQ, the UK’s defense and research company, launched their latest solar driven airplane, named Zephyr-6. The 30kg plane flew without any stop, 3 days, more exactly, 82 hours and 37 minutes, controlled remotely from the ground. Chris Kelleher, from QinetiQ, stated:

“The principal advantage is persistence - that you would be there all the time,” he told BBC News. “A satellite goes over the same part of the Earth twice a day - and one of those is at night - so it’s only really getting a snapshot of activity. Zephyr would be watching all day.” Read more
