The OS X 10.5.6 update breaks iPhone’s DFU mode

For those unfamiliar, the DFU mode or Device Firmware Upgrade, is used mainly for iPhone jailbreaking purposes. The DFU mode bypasses the current installed operating system and allows you to update or downgrade it easily. With its latest Mac OS X update, the OS X 10.5.6, Apple seems to have disabled the DFU mode, thus making the jailbreaking impossible.
