The high tech knife set

October 23, 2008

high-tech-knife-210x290If you already purchased the high tech fork and spoon, you should consider the high tech knife block. Eating healthy is not enough and it seems like those little pesky germs can stick onto your knifes even if you wash them good. The block bombards the kitchen knives with 20 second burst of UV light, killing any possible residual germs. If you are obsessed with germs or maybe you just want to spill their blood with any occasion, you can set the knife block to blast them every hour. The UV treatment combined with the stylish design, makes this knife block a good asset for our hi tech kitchens.

October 19, 2008

bananas-198x290Hacking into a biology centre with a backpack full of bananas, we found out that ripe bananas don’t only turn yellow; they glow blue! That’s right! Its all because of the chlorophyll derivative that emits blue light when exposed to UV.

If you have a black light device (and I’m sure most of you….do) you can check to see if this is true.
Also don’t forget, bananas are a good source of vitamin C, potassium and dietary fiber!
