depeche 290x134Aside from the famous iTunes music shop, we now hear that  Apple is experimenting with something new called iTunes Pass. This new app will allow you to buy a pass for a certain group or artist that you like and after you’ll get everything that artist releases for a given time period.

For example Apple is starting with Depeche Mode. Buy a pass for $19 and you’ll get the band’s new single right now, the album when it comes out, exclusive tracks and any videos and artwork that the band puts out before June 16th, which is when the pass expires and when probably the band’s album will be released officially.

All the content you get is DRM-free (Digital rights management (DRM) refers to a range of access control technologies used by publishers, copyright holders, and hardware manufacturers to limit or restrict usage of digital media or devices), though it will show up in Apple’s AAC format.
