Fujitsu : Introducing the world’s first Waterproof cell phone with integrated fingerprint security system
From the people of Japan or to be more specific from the guys working at Fujitsu, comes the F-01A cell phone that comes with a brand new and cool feature - the security function utilizing fingerprint biometrics (a fingerprint identification algorithm).
Fujitsu’s fingerprint technology is developed by AutenTec, it also has a nice 3.2-inch VGA display with touchscreen, a 5.2 Megapixel camera with autofocus function , GPS, Digital TV tuner, e-wallet function and microSDTM/SDH slots.
“We’re pleased to now offer this unique waterproof mobile phone which combines next generation, all-inclusive entertainment with the convenient security of an AuthenTec fingerprint sensor in the new docomo PRIME series™ phone,” said Katsumi Takada, general manager for the Mobile Phone Group of Fujitsu Limited. “Users of the new F-01A not only enjoy the peace of mind offered by its waterproof capability but also by the integrated fingerprint security which helps protect its stored files and personal information.”
You can go to scuba diving, to a pool party or even take a nice and warm bath with your F-01a because it is capable of submersion in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes. Well maybe not scuba diving but I think that all other water activities are pretty much covered.
