Windows 7 beta now available
It seems that Microsoft for some unknown reasons is in a bit of a hurry and decided to release the first public trial,or beta, version of Windows 7.
The minimum requirements for running Windows 7 are a PC with a 1 Ghz processor, 1GB of RAM, 16 GB of disk space, 128MB of video memory and support for DX9 graphics.
If you want to download it you must hurry because Microsoft is only allowing the first 2.5 million of you to try it out. Another issue: you must have Windows Vista SP1 installed if you want to use this beta version. Windows 7 beta expires in August.
Good luck !

I’m running Xp on my PC, so the upgrade for me is quite impossible right now.
From what I’ve heard so far the interface is quite similar to Vista, but much more refined and easier to navigate, and it also seems to run much faster than Vista even on an older machine.
I might try it, but then again I might wait for the final build.
