Lost in the ocean? try Ocean Rescue
How many times did you thought about the possibility of a Robinson Crusoe scenario, or just the idea of you and a small boat in the middle of the ocean, desperately trying to find some land ?
Well, chances of something like this to actually happen are pretty slim but just in case, you need to be prepared. The first problem is the water, you’ll need water to survive and of course you cannot drink salty water. Seol-Hee Sohn, Seung-Hyun Yoon and Cheol-Yeon Cho developed a cool device that could be the ultimate life saver - The Ocean Rescue.
“It is a rescue device for emergency situations in the ocean. Victims must drink water to survive. Ocean Rescue provides distilled water made by itself. It will help victims survive until rescue. Location information is important for victims to be rescued quickly. Ocean rescue informs its position by emitting light at night and colorful smoke [during the] day. Location information is transmitted from the time it is first operated.”
What else? It also features a Shark Repellant Bat-Spray, and buttons that you can push that tell people, using the built-in location information, that you’re at this Ocean Rescue station and you’re lost in the ocean.
How about some food….?
