lenovo secure hdd 249x290I’m guessing the picture got your attention mainly because it looks like a telephone’s dialing pad. Well, while not far from the truth, it’s actually a portable hard drive. Lenovo thought hard about this and they took the drive’s security to another level by allowing the user to plug the hard drive to any system and unlock it manually. The idea is not bad, but in my opinion it looks like 80’s tech combined with today’s under an ugly hood.

If you are interested in this product, you should know that it comes in 2 flavors, 160 Gb and 320 Gb priced at $179 and $219 respectively. The drive also features a 128 bit advanced encrypting, which should keep your data protected from…hijackers!
