Free surf report app for your iPhone/iPod Touch: Surf Report

If you like water, surfing and iPhone or why not the iPod Touch here are some news for you:

Oakley and Surfline just announced their free app: Surf Report.

On iTunes store you can also find the GreenRoom Surf Forecasts, available for $2.9, limited to spots in California, and  if you plan on buying it you’ll also get a seven-day forecast. Surf Report will provide only a three day forecast but hey, its free!!

Oakley app will give you stats for air temp, water temp, tide charts, swell breakdown, wind, sunrise and sunset. You can use the GPS coordinates from your iPhone/iPod Touch and you can see what’s going on at spots near you that are within a certain distance that you set. If you plan on moving a lot, driving directions are also included via map links in case you’re going somewhere new.
