iPhone presents ‘Shazam’

iphone shazamIn it’s new ad, Apple presents a new application for the iPhone called ‘Shazam’. Shazam listens to any external music and identifies the song and its artist easily. This isn’t the first software of this kind and to be honest and while most of them were good at the ‘listening’ part, they failed miserably at the identifying part.

I didn’t try Shazam personally but I did some scouting on YouTube and found an user created video with Shazam in action. As we can see, this little app does it’s job and does it good. I don’t know its database and how many ‘unpopular’ songs the application can identify, but I can say I’m impressed with this application so far.
