floppy-usb-1-290x210Quick ! warp drive to the 70′! Do you remember the flexible magnetic disk, or diskette that revolutionized computer disk storage in the 1970s?  Invented by IBM, floppy disks are nothing but a faint  memory now. They have now been superseded by flash and optical storage devices.

But Thomas O’Connor’s design concept tries to reinvent the floppy disk for a younger audience: “The USB floppy drive is a sustainable product, recycling old and obsolete 3.5-inch 1.44MB floppy disks and turning them into modern, USB drives”.

It’s still in an early-stage design , but I’d like to see one one my desk !
