Yamaha’s A-S700 amp and CD-S700 CD player

When you think that these days everyone is going for the smaller things like iPods  or computer integrated audio systems, Yamaha is not giving up and reveals the A-S700 amplifier and CD-S700 CD player both of them featuring an iPod dock.

The amp provides an RMS power output of 90W over two channels with a SNR of 98dB and frequency response of 10Hz-100kHz, and it features Total Purity Audio Reproduction Technology. Aluminum front panel and knobs are also in place

The CD player looks just like the amplifier in look and also operation, featuring Yamaha’s proprietary Silent Loader mechanism for low noise and jitter, USB port, and CD-R/RW, MP3 and WMA playback.

The amp will be available in late November for €500 (£390) and the CD player for €420 (£325).
