Rumor: Bungie’s next game, Halo 4?

Rumor has it that the Bungie team,( the Halo developers ) has started a teaser campaign for their next game, and also this mysterious game could be revealed as soon as this week.
The developer has also confirmed that the new game, will take place in the Halo universe, but it is not Halo 4. So, could the Halo franchise stop here, GTA had a fourth, as did Metal Gear Solid. Grand Turismo is on 4 and a half just now, not to mention that Call of Duty is on its 5th. So Halo 4 would not be such a big surprise.
But Microsoft already started the rumor that Halo 4 is on the making, a third-person squad shooter kinda like Ghost Recon.
