New 3D solar cells invented..by a 12 year old boy

William Yuan is a boy that thought deeply about his childhood and decided that playing outside with the other kids was not quite his thing. Instead, he decided to re-invent the 3D solar cells and, he actually did. William’s solar cells abosrd both the visible and UV light and, he states that his cells absorb 500 time more light than the current cells and 9 times more than current 3D solar cells.

William Yuan recieved a $25,000 scholarship for his invention, but things will surely shape up more for the boy. There are no actual cost estimates for the new cells, but I don’t think this will be the problem for William considering he is…young.
