iPhone meets the real high-tech in Japan
Apple’s estimations about iPhone sales in Japan were around 1 million units, while the actual figures a little more different. Seems like Apple sold almost 200,000 units in the first 2 months, but the analysts are in doubt if the iPhone’s total sales will ever reach 500,000 units.
It’s widely known that Japan is a little more tech advanced, especially on the gadget/phone scene. Most phones in Japan have a high-end color display with TV-viewing capability and satellite navigation. Also, there are alot of phones that, with special chips, allow people to use the phone as a credit card.
iPhone is a good phone, but let’s be honest, in Japan’s market, it doesn’t bring anything new, maybe only its touchscreen and shape. As I know, Apple’s “apple” logo didn’t impressed Japan greatly and I thought Apple knew that already.
Seems not..
