Matsushita will launch the world’s smallest SLR camera
And if your camera is too heavy, it seems that Japan’s Matsushita will launch the world’s smallest digital single-lens reflex (SLR), targeting female users who desire a high-performance camera, that does not weigh too much.
The company that will change its name on October 1, 2008 to Panasonic Corporation, unifying the Matsushita, National and Panasonic brands under the new corporate name, will start delivering these new Lumix digital cameras in late October and early November.
The newest model is DMC-G1, 27 percent smaller than its existing SLR camera and it weighs only 385 grams.
The new camera will first go on sale in Japan and the whole package (camera body and lens unit) will sell for 90,000 yen ($839.5).
