Your tongue: the next computer controller
Researchers from Georgia Tech are working on creating a system that will let your tongue control media devices, computers and even wheelchairs. How does this work? There are 2 sensors placed on each cheek and a small magnet underneath the tongue. The sensors track the movement of the magnet and transform the actions in digital commands and actions.
While this new technology has limited use for the average user, this can have great use for the disabled, allowing them to control their wheelchair or other electronic devices using only their tongue. I believe this will have some impact in the military field, but I’m not overlooking the sexual field..oh, the imagination
We are curious the see where this technology leads to but I’m sure however, this will have a great use in the future.
