Sony announces PSP-3000
Sony corp. announced at the video game convention held in Leipzig, Germany on Wednesday the launch of a new version of the PlayStation Portable. Truly good news for gamers around the world who will certainly be amazed by the new console which can be also used as a mobile telephone. The new PSP version will feature a built-in microphone and also a new screen specially made for better outdoor use.
The current PSP availble on the market already supports Skype (with Skype you can make free calls over the internet to other people) and with PSP 3000 this process will get slightly easier due to its built-in microphone. The new version will make PSP a “viable communication device,” ( David Reeves, president of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe).
PSP 3000 will be released on the market in Europe and the U.S. in mid-October. PSP 3000 will be available in stores for €199 and the current model sells for €169.
Sony also said that they are about to release a new PlayStation 3 (PS3) model that will feature a 160GB hard drive and will cost gamers about €449 including 70 euros credit for downloads. We can expect this one around October 31.
