Nintendo’s DS 2 out soon !

On Wednesday morning Nintendo announced a brand new handheld gaming device, the Nintendo DS that will feature twin 3-inch TFT LCD panels, two processors, and “up to” a gig of semiconductor memory. The twin screens will allow you to view a game from different perspectives in the same time and by that maybe you’d be able to play a game stretched across two screens, but still there is no mention of that in the announcement, so who knows.At the announcement Nintendo featured a soccer game with a close-up and above-field view, and also a game that would allow the second screen to display a map. The device will be unveiled at next edition of E3, and should be availble on markets later this year.  “We have developed Nintendo DS based upon a completely different concept from existing game devices in order to provide players with a unique entertainment experience for the 21st century,” (Satoru Iwata ,director of Nintendo). It sounds like you will have to use Nintendo’s  games in order to to benefit from both screens, but that wont be a problem for the Nintendo developers.
