How about some…green tea?
Too much technology can damage your senses, or so i’ve read somewhere a few days ago. Why not take a break from all the chaos induced by the so-called “modern world”, chill a bit and enjoy a good cup of tea? For example the Chinese have known about the medicinal benefits of green tea since ancient times, using it to treat all kinds of diseases including headaches and depression.
Recent studies revealed that drinking green tea will reduce the risk of esophageal cancer by nearly sixty percent and lowers total cholesterol levels, as well as improving the ratio of good cholesterol to bad cholesterol.
It is rich in catechin polyphenols, particularly epigallocatechin gallate, a powerful anti-oxidant: besides inhibiting the growth of cancer cells it also kills the cancer cells without harming any healthy tissue. It is also effective in lowering the cholesterol levels, and inhibiting the abnormal formation of blood clots that can lead to heart attacks and eventually a stroke.
It can also prevent tooth decay by killing the the bacteria that causes dental plaque. Don’t exagerate drinking it though because recent studies proved that it can cause insomnia (it contains caffeine).
