Doom 4 and Half Life Episode 3 at E3 2008

I think the most interesting event of the year is by far E3. Could it be because I’m a game geek. Yes, yes , it is true, I admit, but now let’s see what goodies we have for this year’s E3 edition. One of the most appealing titles are Kid Icarus Wii, Doom 4, Alan Wake, and Half Life Episode 3 .

Let’s look at the most interesting title (for me at least) Half Life Episode 3:

In Half-Life 2, players led Gordon Freeman on adventure to free the world from the brutal grip of the Combine, a massive military force from another dimension. Following his success in defeating the Combine’s hold on City 17, Half-Life 2: Episode One follows Freeman and his ally Alyx Vance as they escape from the crumbling metropolis. The saga continues in Episode Two, wherein Freeman and Alyx make their way across the Combine-controlled wilderness as they try to meet up with fellow resistance forces. The upcoming Episode Three will complete the tale, as Freeman and Alyx continue to bring the fight to the Combine. Lets’ s just hope the plot will be at least as good as Half life 2 and its not just a “we want to make some more money” sequel.

We knew there were already going to be some great titles at the line up, like Little Big Planet and Gears of War 2, but titles like Doom 4 and Half-Life are filling me with lots and lots of joy. As always nothing is certain from any of the developers, things that are certain now can easily become uncertain, so we can expect that Doom4 to be shown at the next edition and so on .

But fingers crossed and let’s hope for a good time at E3 2008.
