Yahoo Search Update - SERP changes

It seems that Yahoo has updated its search index today along with the backlinks. The update came a little too fast, the last Yahoo update was noticed around 25 September. It seems that Yahoo tries to pull something after the famous Google Update that happened recently and many webmasters are seeing increases or decreases in the Yahoo SERPs. I wonder what they are trying to achieve with blitz update, but I have no doubt that somehow, this has something to do with the Google PR update.

I think we will have more feedback coming from the webmasters on this matter, there is also a thread started on the DP Forums regarding this sudden update. Yahoo seems more and more busy cleaning its search index and re-adjusting the algorithms in order to provide more relevant results for its users. This is no doubt a good thing and soon, we will see a more relevant Google vs Yahoo duel.

Personally, I’ve seen some slight increases with one of my sites while the others suffered no modifications. Maybe the update is still underway and we can keep a closer look the upcoming days.
